5-Day Uganda wildlife and gorilla safari

Your safari begins upon arrival at Queen Elizabeth National Park. You’ll be welcomed by your guide at the nearest airstrip or pre-arranged meeting point. After a short briefing, enjoy an introductory game drive, where you may spot elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and other savannah dwellers.

Spend the day exploring the varied ecosystems of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Begin with a morning game drive, tracking wildlife including lions, elephants, leopards, and numerous bird species. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, where you'll witness hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and colorful birdlife at close range.

After breakfast, depart for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most biologically diverse areas in Africa. The drive offers beautiful views of the countryside, terraced hills, and small Ugandan villages. On arrival, check into your lodge and enjoy a relaxing evening in the forested highlands.

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a pre-trek briefing. You'll be assigned a gorilla family and guided by experienced trackers through dense forest trails. The trek can last a few hours, depending on the gorillas’ location, but the reward—spending an hour in the presence of these majestic primates, is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. Optional afternoon activities include community visits or a nature walk in the surrounding area.

After breakfast, check out and begin your journey back. You’ll be transferred to the nearest airstrip or your onward destination, marking the end of your unforgettable Ugandan safari.
